Introduction to Intel® Inspector

Intel® Inspector is an easy-to-use memory and threading error debugger for C, C++, and Fortran applications that run on Windows* and Linux*. It helps find and fix problems—such as memory leaks and deadlocks—before they hinder productivity and time-to-market.

In less time than it takes to eat a sandwich, you’ll get an overview of Intel Inspector’s two distinct parts—threading errors and memory errors—and see how to use these capabilities for:

  • Detecting and fixing deadlocks and data races
  • Uncovering and solving memory issues
  • Carrying out on-demand leak detection and interactive memory growth

Intel Inspector is available as part of Intel® Parallel Studio XE and Intel® System Studio, both of which can be tried and used for free.
